About Pick-Dream
Pick-Dream is a brand of Fundación Aprendizaje Significativo founded in 2000, based in Bogota, Colombia. The vocational and professional orientation program until 2017 was named ¨Elijo mi Carrera¨, from 2018 it changed its name to Pick-Dream. The vocational and professional orientation program was founded due to the growing problem of college dropouts. Pick-Dream has contributed efficiently to the reduction of the number of young people who drop out of university. Our goal is to help each and every person find his or her own sparkle in order to achieve personal self-fulfillment.

Our Objective
Pick-Dream creates services that have helped thousands of youths to decide what they want to be and do in life. Pick-Dream has changed the way people decide on their college career by providing them with comprehensive strategies for decision making. Pick-Dream has helped about 200 thousand young people from 9th to 12th grade in their vocational and professional choice process. We have been carrying out this task since 2000, reducing college dropout rates between 1% and 1.5%.

CLINICAL APPROACH vs. ORGANIZATIONAL APPROACH
°For Pick-Dream the objective is to control risk factors for university dropout, for this reason it detects possible individual variables of personality, aptitudes or interests that can trigger university dropout. In Pick-Dream our youth can overcome their difficulties.
GLOBAL PERSPECTIVE vs LOCAL PERSPECTIVE
°In Pick-Dream the possibilities are not only in the native country but in the whole world, for this reason it offers tools so that the student not only knows the routes of access for the education abroad, but all the academic offer that is not in the country of origin. In Pick-Dream our youth have ambitious dreams.
INDIVIDUAL vs. MASS ACTION
°The clinical approach allows us to get to know each of our cases: their goals, dreams, difficulties and strengths are different; and for this reason the program is managed individually or in small groups of people. For Pick-Dream our youths are unique and unrepeatable.
COMPREHENSIVE STRATEGY vs. PSYCHOMETRIC STRATEGY
°We encourage the reflective strategy in the young person in all scenarios: with him/herself, with his/her family and with his/her school. For Pick-Dream, psychometric tests are very important, but they are not the panacea and it is necessary to use integral strategies that merge psychometric and reflective aspects, so that the young person can find his/her personal self-realization.
INNOVATION vs. TRADITION
°Our Start-up is in permanent development, responding to our value proposition. The traditional perspective of professional orientation for Pick-Dream is no longer viable, given the constant transformation not only of the world itself, but also of the needs of our youth.
